We are conveniently located in the Edgewater Medical Building on Commerce Road, between Newton and Carrol Lake Road.

In the event of a life-threatening medical emergency, call emergency medical services at 911 immediately. DO NOT WAIT! Inform the emergency room staff that you are a patient of Commerce Internal Medicine, and they will contact us.
If you have an urgent medical need and need to talk to our doctors after our regular hours, please call our office at (248) 232-3914. A doctor is on-call 24 hours a day. Your call will be returned promptly.
At Commerce Internal Medicine, we accept most major insurance plans. Please contact your insurance company or you may call our office at (248) 363-1500 to find out if we accept your insurance plan.
If your insurance plan requires you to pay a co-payment, co-insurance, and/or a deductible, you will need to pay at the time of your visit. For your convenience we accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

If one of our doctors suggests a specialist evaluation or diagnostic testing that requires a referral, we will make every effort to provide this for you as soon as possible. Some referrals require insurance preauthorization and cannot be processed immediately. Insurance guidelines prohibit us from backdating referrals. We require 7 to 10 business days for the processing of routine referrals.
Doctors at Commerce Internal Medicine have hospital affiliations with DMC Huron Valley Sinai Hospital.
Prescriptions and refills for established patients of Commerce Internal Medicine are routinely issued during our regular office hours (see above). You can make your request by calling our office at (248) 363-1500. No refills are issued during the evenings, weekends, or holidays, as the doctors do not have access to your medical records during those times. It is helpful to anticipate your refill needs to avoid an interruption in your medication therapy. Prescription refills require a 48 hour notice to be filled.
